KFF will publish its benchmark survey of employer health benefits for 2021 via a public web briefing on Wednesday, November 10 at 1 p.m. ET.
This 23rd annual survey provides a detailed overview of the current state of employer coverage and trends in private health insurance for large and small businesses. Presented on a nationally representative sample of nearly 1,700 employers with three or more workers, the survey captures average premiums for workers and employers and their rate of increase; average deductibles and other cost sharing; and the share of companies of different sizes offering health benefits. This year’s survey also assesses changes made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including telemedicine coverage, mental health benefits and wellness programs.
The briefing is open to the public and will feature KFF Senior Vice President Gary Claxtonlongtime study director, and Matthew Rae, Associate Director of KFF’s Healthcare Market Program. They will present a brief overview of the results and answer questions from the audience. Executive Vice President of Health Policy at KFF Larry Levitt will moderate.
The full report, graphics and executive summary will be available on kff.org at the start of the briefing. Some findings will also appear online in a Health Affairs article and in its December issue.
