Cigna Intl. appoints CEO for Home Health and Health Services

A global health services company, Cigna Corporation has appointed Jerome Droesch as general manager of national health and health services for all Cigna International Markets businesses outside of the United States.

In this new role, Droesch will focus directly on leading the home healthcare and healthcare services businesses for the company. Previously, he served as Cigna’s CEO for the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia regions.

In addition to his expanded mandate, Droesch also leads Cigna’s strategy, innovation, and international market data and analytics functions.

Additionally, this decision reinforces Cigna’s strategic plans to grow its business as the premier provider of health and wellness insurance services to individuals, groups and government entities in key markets.

At the same time, Droesch continues to serve as a board member of Cigna’s operations in India, Turkey and Australia, and chairman of the board of Cigna’s insurance management services at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC). .

Under Droesch’s leadership, Cigna’s Middle East business has strengthened its position as an innovative industry leader and has also expanded its presence in the region, as well as introducing new products and services that address a segment broader market and support its partners, while consistently maintaining double-digit growth.
